This was much cheaper that the top Huawei unit, and is not so large although this makes little difference in practice. Performance is also not far off the Huawei 5G unit, the most noticeable specification different is in upload speed - the Huawei is double. If this is not critical, i.e. home use, Netflix, YouTube and so on, then this unit represents excellent value. The ZTE also runs noticeably warmer than the Huawei. On arrival the ZTE crashed and could not be coaxed into life, an email to Clove eventually summoned the response from the distributor that it could require a software/firmware upgrade. Strangely, when switching it on shortly after this email the unit automatically underwent a firmware upgrade and rebooted. The menu system has completely changed and is much more comprehensive and intuitive, and more to the point after a couple of weeks running continuously it has not crashed. In summary so far so good.

The service provided was very good, website presented the data I needed and easy to understand. Product purchased and received on time. Once I installed a Voxi Sim and activated it, I then had to find the perfect sweet spot in the house for the best connection and latency. This process took hours.

I found the absolute best possible spot and these are my average daily results (Vodafone 5G Network provided by Voxi):

Latency: 50-80 (Compared to 10 On Full Fiber).
Download Speed: 150 (Average).
Upload Speed: 25-30 (Average).

I live in a full 5G supported area in the Midlands, UK. My iPhone 13 Pro Max Ultra receives around 500Mbps download and a latency of just 25.

Therefore, for what should be the best Router available today and the top of line product from the company, I would have expected it to be equal at least to the speeds and latency from my IPhone.

I also did these tests connected directly to the router via RJ45 and also via WiFI sitting next to the router for the fairest possible connection and testing methodology.

If the Antenna was stronger I would have favoured this review in a more positive light.

Overall, tethered to IPhone results in better performance and connectivity. The main reason for this purchase was to remove the tether which eats away at my iPhone battery.
